Install FilmCollectr

FilmCollectr works as an app: add it to your home screen for a full-screen experience, an app icon, and offline access to pages you've already visited. It's the same site — nothing to download, and it updates itself.

On Android

  1. Tap the Install app button above if it appears.
  2. Or open your browser menu (⋮) and choose Install app / Add to Home screen.
  3. Confirm, and FilmCollectr appears on your home screen.

On iPhone & iPad

  1. Open FilmCollectr in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an up-arrow).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

On desktop

  1. In Chrome or Edge, click the install icon in the address bar.
  2. Or use the Install app button above.

What you get

  • The scanner, one tap away. Barcode scanning runs full-screen with no browser chrome in the way — much easier when you're working through a shelf.
  • Works offline. Pages you've already visited stay readable without a connection, so you can check your collection in a shop with bad signal.
  • Stays signed in. Sign in once inside the installed app and you stay signed in, just like a native app.
  • Shortcuts. Long-press the icon to jump straight to adding a film, your shelf, or the marketplace.

Installing needs a secure connection (https). If the button doesn't appear, your browser either doesn't support it or you've already installed it — the manual steps above always work.
